Security and MySQL

Details
Sheeri Cabral, DBA at Mozilla, will present "Securing MySQL: ACL's and beyond".
Securing MySQL includes proper use of ACL’s (access control lists, via GRANT statements), but that is only part of MySQL security. Learn about the other parts of MySQL security – from operating system files and permissions, how to run MySQL as a secure daemon and how to fight against cross-site scripting (XSS) and SQL injection.
Be sure to come so you can not only learn, but introduce yourself to the group, mention what you and your company are doing (hiring???), and of course eat free food and beer!
If you've come to previous meetups at this location, note that Meddius has moved to the first floor, not the fifth floor. You will enter the ground floor via the south end of the building.
