Talk 2 - Simplifying the Feature Store
Monte Zweben, CEO at Splice Machine
Monte will be presenting a new approach for a Feature Store, one with a single engine. The team at Splice Machine saw a unique opportunity to combine online and offline storage under a single, SQL HTAP database. Monte will be presenting the motivation and key differences in this architecture.

We will conclude the talks with a short Q&A about today's meetup and this new meetup in general.

About the speakers

Atindriyo Sanyal is the Tech Lead at Uber AI, leading Feature Engineering efforts on Michelangelo.

Monte Zweben is the CEO and co-founder of Splice Machine, the first operational AI platform. Prior to Splice Machine, Monte founded and led Red Pepper Software, a leading supply chain optimization company, and Blue Martini Software, the leader in e-commerce and omni-channel marketing. Monte was also the deputy chief of the artificial intelligence branch of NASA Ames Research Center. Monte is the co-author of Intelligent Scheduling, and has published articles in the Harvard Business Review and various computer science journals and conference proceedings. He was Chairman of Rocket Fuel Inc. and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science.
