Speaker #1: Laura Rogers
Presentation Topic: Social Governance in SharePoint
Presentation Description: Come join Laura Rogers as she dives into the complexities and issues of Social Governance and SharePoint 2010. When deploying and enabling social features within SharePoint, there are many intricacies involved that carry vast implications if not treated with care. Most often these issues are dealt with after they’ve become a bigger issue. Coming out of this session, you’ll have a better understanding and feel more comfortable enabling social features within your organization.
Bio: Laura Rogers is the Federal Marketing Manager of AvePoint Public Sector, Inc. She has been a Microsoft SharePoint End User since SharePoint 2003. Prior to AvePoint Public Sector Laura worked for Creative Maven as an Event Coordinator for two years doing logistics for the SharePoint team as well as other SharePoint partner companies including AvePoint, Inc.

Presentation Topic: Deploying Business Intelligence to the end user with SharePoint Enterprise, Excel Services and PowerPivot
Presentation Description: Create browser based Business Intelligence pages in SharePoint by uploading Excel workbooks with the PowerPivot add in using SQL queries and views to pull real time data with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Forecaster, Encore and netFORUM.
Bio: I currently oversee the administration of the CTAM (Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) information systems network (hardware and software). This includes management of systems upgrades, training, troubleshooting and repairs, as well as new technology evaluation and implementation. I am a power user with SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Dynamics GP, FRX, Forecaster, Management Reporter and Encore Project Software.

Presentation Description: This session will demonstrate how to use Posterous account and link it to SharePoint to share "live" conference information.
Bio: Julie is a skilled Technical Trainer with more than 15 years in the Information Technology field. Many trainees have remarked her ability to decode geek-speak into plain English. She has held various positions in the training and development field as well as in the IT field. Currently, she is a Senior Training Specialist at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.

Presentation Topic: Best practices & the Importance of QA, IV&V on your SharePoint Project
Presentation Description: Discuss the best and worst practices in QA as well as types of testing required to deliver bug free software. Outline team composition, skills needed and what goes into full SDLC Software Test Plans – and why many companies skip right past this, unfortunately. Address the particular challenges of testing applications on SharePoint as a platform and how to plan for and execute testing plans for enterprise SharePoint deployments.
