What we’re about

About FEEDBACK SALOON

FEEDBACK SALOON is a small, peer-led meetup for software developers actively working on their careers — job seekers, people aiming for promotion, stabilizing their path, or exploring a shift. We run short, structured, confidential sessions where 6–10 participants take turns briefly sharing a specific career challenge and receive focused, practical feedback from peers.
What we value
Confidentiality: optional pseudonyms, no recording, no doxxing.
Constructive support: feedback geared to actionable next steps.
Structure: timed rounds and guided prompts so everyone gets space to speak.
Accessibility: low-pressure environment, simple norms, accommodations on request.
Mutual resource sharing: practical templates, connections, and job‑search tips.
Who should join
Developers with ~1–15 years experience across stacks who are actively working on career progress (applications, interviews, promotions, role changes, stability).
People ready to listen, give concise feedback, and keep conversations respectful and confidential.
Not intended for recruiters, hiring managers, or sales outreach.
What to expect
90‑minute in‑person session at a public library with a facilitator and co‑moderator.
Guided rounds: each participant gets ~7–10 minutes (brief problem statement + peer feedback).
Takeaways: 2–3 actionable suggestions per participant, shared notes of resources.
How we keep it safe
Clear ground rules enforced by moderators, quick reporting, automated filters for doxxing/abuse, and escalation resources for urgent issues.
RSVP required; capacity limited to 6–10 people.
