Oso Flaco Lake Nature Immersion

🌿 Oso Flaco Lake Nature Immersion
Slow down. Notice more. Feel the Quiet.
Join me for a guided nature immersion along the Oso Flaco Lake boardwalk on California’s beautiful Central Coast.
This isn’t a hike, a natural history lesson, or a meditation class. It’s an opportunity to slow your pace, awaken your senses, and reconnect with yourself through the natural world.
Together we’ll wander through the coastal dunes, beneath wind-shaped cypress trees, and along the ocean’s edge. Along the way I’ll offer simple invitations designed to help you notice things we often overlook in our busy lives. There are no right or wrong answers—only your own experience.
Whether you’ve never tried nature immersion before or you’ve spent years seeking quiet places, you’re welcome here.
What to Expect
- A relaxed, easy-paced walk
- Guided sensory and mindfulness invitations
- Quiet moments for personal reflection
- A traditional tea sharing to close our time together
- A welcoming environment with no experience necessary
- You have the option to join me on a walk from the boardwalk to the ocean after the official closing and sharing circle. If you decide to participate in this bonus immersion being barefoot in the sand is encouraged. Please bring a towel or extra socks to change into.
Details
Location: 3098 Oso Flaco Lake Road Arroyo Grande, CA 93420
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Difficulty: Easy. We’ll walk slowly over relatively level terrain with frequent stops.
What to Bring
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Layers appropriate for coastal weather
- Water
- A small sit pad or towel if you’d like extra comfort during seated invitations
- An open mind and a sense of curiosity
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready to spend a couple of hours at a different pace, I’d love to share this experience with you.
I’m not here to tell you trees have magical powers or that nature will solve every problem. I’m just an ordinary guy who has spent a career in emergency medicine and discovered that slowing down in nature has a remarkable way of helping us remember what’s important.
I hope you’ll join me.
Feel the Quiet.
