What weโre about
Looking for ways to socialize your dog (all dogs are welcome!) and provide a rewarding experience for them while being supervised and supported by a certified dog trainer? Perfect! You're in the right spot.
Hi, I'm Tracy, a certified dog trainer and canine and human fitness trainer. I just relocated to Eugene and after hosting 70+ pack walks in Los Angeles, I'm excited to offer these events for people and their dogs in/around Eugene.
In addition to these pack walks, I offer dog & puppy training classes, private dog & puppy training, and group and private canine fitness training and you'll may see me post about those here too, as well as other local dog-friendly events.

Hope to see you and your dog at the next Feet & Paws' Pack Walk!
What To Expect At A Pack Walk:
Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to give your dog the chance to sniff, go potty, and get acclimated, while allowing other pack walkers and their dogs space.
At the start of the pack walk we'll go around the group and introduce ourselves and our dogs and a quick fun fact about them. Tracy James, Feet & Paws' owner, operator, and certified dog obedience and canine and human fitness trainer*, will also go over the pack rules, share information about the path and pace, and pass out yellow ribbons as needed.
From here we set off on our walk, allowing space for those dogs that need it, and practicing social structure and good manners for all.
These rewarding group experiences are a great way to help socialize your dog, practice their outdoor training skills, and meet new (dog-loving) people, all while under the leadership and supervision of a certified trainer.

RSVP/Cancellation Policy: If you cannot make a hike and have already RSVPd as going, please cancel as early as possible. It works best if you change your RSVP on the specific MeetUp event rather than sending an e-mail or text.
That being said, I understand that unforeseen circumstances can come up at the last minute, so each member is permitted 3 no shows. Once you have more than 3 no shows, you will be removed from the pack. This is out of consideration to your fellow walkers as well as myself.
*Tracy James (CCPDT-KA, ABCDT, CPCFT, NSCA CPT, and ACSM GEI) uses techniques that focus on positive reinforcement. In other words, using things your dog LOVES to teach them important behaviors, helpful skills, & fun tricks. To read more about her visit feetandpaws.com/my-story
Why Is There A Fee For the Pack Walk And What Does It Go Toward? The fee for each pack walk helps cover the costs of hosting the pack walks (my time, experience, and costs incurred ... my insurance is greatly increased for not only hosting classes and events without breed restrictions but also specifically because these walks are not a "training class" in a classroom but a supervised socialization opportunity out in the public with a certified, reward-based dog trainer). The fee also helps create accountability for those who complete their RSVP, which in turn helps me prepare appropriately for the expected size of the group.
