### Welcome to Feet First Hiking Beginners & Nature Walking Group - Auckland 🌿
Wild surf, Rugged bush clad hills, Delicately beautiful waterfalls.
Resonating bird song. Kauri trees, Gurgling streams. Endless black sand beaches.
Lakes and rocky shores. Breathtaking scenery and Plants, Birds and so much more .
I'm lovin all of it. I hope you will too .
What's this Feet First Beginners Hiking & Nature Walking Enthusiast Group all about then?
Our unique difference is that we Slow Down and Look Around , stopping to learn something together about the things we see along the way, take photographs...identifying native trees and plants, birds, and insects, and sometimes practice Mindfulness Walking for the Days or Nights sometime.
Our Beginners Hiking & Nature Enthusiasts Group EVENTs .
The Events I plan and organize for your outdoor pleasures here , are a selection of a lifetime passion of exploration in the Waitakere Ranges, and the many other places to hike, for bringing people together for Urban Walks and sometimes tougher Hiking Events, just perfect to get away from life's home or business responsibilities for awhile.
Whether you're new to the city or a long term resident like me ...Or just want to explore it more mindfully, you're in the right place as I've got a real passion for bringing people together for Urban Walking & Hiking in Auckland, and the Waikato Region.
Join me, Stephen F, Original Founder of the main Feet First Hiking Auckland .
Preparation for these walks is easy, if you wear good strong Walking Shoes with grip, or Hiking Boots , and in winter, something warm to wear against your chests or breasts..should the weather suddenly turn cold.
Of course bringing good nutritious food for lunch, and fueling the body, helps with overall pleasure outside in all weather .
We will have a Centralized Meeting Place to Carpool, ushering in the familiar to many New World Victoria Park , sharing rides to get to our Events and Trail Head , so its important to have a Clear recognizable Face picture of yourself on your profile when you join us.
More about this on the Event You Attend. So be sure to Answer the RSVP Questions.
My hero, fellow kiwi adventurer Sir Edmund Hillary, who with his sherpa, climbed the highest mountain in the world , Mt Everest, also saw life differently, he was able to go beyond what at the time were typical climbers of the day, in the 1950s, following all the procedures and protocols..Instead Sir Ed, a big tall man, and quite a quiet,guy..went on and up , in his own way, identifying his eye for details, he conquered Mt Everest his own way..And said, We Knocked that Bastard Off "..and he kept saying that right throughout his amazing life ..
I too make mistakes and learn something about the things we see along the way..Its my way of falling forward, and I encourage you also to go for progress, and not perfection when out Hiking and Walking with us..
Thanks for your pleasure and happiness outside with us too..
You're Welcome here, boots and all, and with plenty of banter and fun on our recreational activities...
Let's Knock more Bastards off !
