Ride 26.2 miles (at least) and try beers at all 5 breweries in Williamsburg — a town so historically significant that we intend to make absolutely no effort to honor that legacy whatsoever.
📅 GATHER: Frothy Moon, May 23rd at 10:00am (yes, that means your sorry arse needs to be up, dressed, and vaguely functional by 10) 🚲 AWAY: 10:30am sharp (or whenever the slowest hasher finds their helmet, whichever comes last)
THE TRAIL: We shall embark on a sacred pilgrimage by bicycle to EVERY SINGLE BREWERY in Williamsburg. Yes, ALL of them. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just pedaling, pints, and poor decisions. The pack will visit, in some gloriously chaotic order:
🍺 Alewerks Brewing Company — home of pretzels and questionable life choices 🍺 Alewerks L.A.B. (Little Auxiliary Brewery) Taproom — because one Alewerks wasn't enough, you magnificent overachievers 🍺 The Virginia Beer Company — they brew what they like, and after three stops, you'll like whatever they brew 🍺 Precarious Beer Project (Merchants Square) — award-winning suds in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg; the Founding Fathers would be horrified and delighted 🍺 Billsburg Brewery — out by Jamestown, because nothing says "honoring America's first settlers" like a hazy IPA on a bicycle 🍺 Frothy Moon Brewhouse — last one standing gets a down-down
RULES: There are no rules. But cranium covers are encouraged (but mostly so you remember which end is up after Stop #4). There will be a bag car with minor repair equipment and room to stash bikes in case of emergency.
WHAT TO BRING: Your bike, cash (pay as you go), a liver of moderate ambition, your most garish hab or high viz clothing, and the phone number of someone who can come get you if needed.
