Community Engagement Meeting - Louisville

Details

Do you care about climate change and want to get involved in making a difference? This group is for you! We're a direct action food justice group centered in the Front Range with meetings in Denver area and Colorado Springs. Make new friends and get involved in a great cause!

  • 43% of climate change causing greenhouse gases (GHG) come from our food system, but food system reform is barely on the radar.
  • 40% of food grown in the US ends up in landfills where it emits methane, which is 90 times more potent than CO2 as a GHG.
  • 15% of residents are food insecure, and food access orgs struggle to find enough resources to meet the growing need.

We're creating a grassroots initiative across the Front Range supporting sustainable local food rescue solutions to get meals out of landfills and into hungry bellies, in ways that empower the communities we serve. Looking to make a difference in YOUR community? Start here!

Join us at our first community engagement meeting and learn what's possible and get involved! Turn on notifications and stay tuned for our 2nd meeting which will be held in Colorado Springs mid-August.
