Talk by seed investor of Paypal-"Female Entrepreneurs and Business Scalability"

Did you know that female entrepreneurs, according to extensive research, are usually better than men at starting businesses and getting early traction for a product and service?

Women tend to understand their customers better, use their networks more effectively and develop successful small businesses. We know there are many women in our network who want to grow their business, and explore their investment options to do this, and research shows that the growth stage is where women face the greatest challenges.

For our first meetup in 2015, we are proud to host Australian investor and entrepreneur Peter Davison.

Peter was a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley in the 1990's, and as one of the early investors in Paypal, as well as a successful internet entrepreneur. Peter has mentored hundreds of startups globally, many of those with female founders, and is completing a PhD on startups and angel investment.

Join us for an interactive discussion with Peter about how successful female entrepreneurs can and have changed their mindsets to attract investment and scale their business. In this fun and informal session, Peter will highlight the many strengths that female founders have in business, give examples of the female founders he's worked with and how they approached growing their business, and talk about the research findings on female entrepreneur success. Peter will address the differences in business style between China and Silicon Valley, and how this particularly affects women. You'll have many opportunities to ask questions and join in the discussion, so that you can learn what you need for your business to reach the next level.
