What we’re about
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to provide opportunities for female performer artists to:
- improve their craft through performance opportunities and workshops
- support and celebrate female performing artists by attending their events
- socialize, network, and have fun together.
Therefore, we will attend venues, shows, and social events that highlight and support the work of female performing artists and that allow us to build friendships. The group will also provide workshops and activities to help us hone our art/craft.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
This group is for amateur and seasoned female performing artists--singers, singer/songwriters, and instrumentalists. We welcome all women including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ women. This group might be a good fit for those who want to "follow" and support the work of female performing artists.
WHAT WE WILL DO
- Attend or perform at events, open mics, shows, etc. that feature female artists
- Participate in events and workshops that help us hone our performance skills
- Collaborate and share our art/craft at informal gatherings
- Build friendships and network with other female musicians
LEADERSHIP TEAM
The leadership team meets once a month (in person and via Zoom) to brainstorm and create our calendar of events. Meetings are advertised and anyone can join the meetings. There is no monthly commitment expected.
