The Shattered Kingdom:

"In the world of Varedia, the once great Kingdom was united under the Voss Dynasty during The Golden Age of Prosperity. However, nigh on 3 millenia ago, a great power swept across the land, splitting the kingdom into 7 distinct realms, each separated by a great wall of magic known as the Veil Worse still, the beloved heir to the throne, Arannis Voss disappeared in the chaos, presumed dead. Mistrustful of one another, and of the remaining royal members, the realms erupted into a devastating war, only stopped through the formation of the Council of Elders. These 7 leaders act as both diplomats between realms and leaders of their own. Fearful of another war being started, movement across the veil was heavily restricted save for important diplomatic missions. That was until 6 months ago. In a flash of blinding light, carried across all the realms, the veil vanished, allowing free travel between realms. However, alongside the people, the removal of the veil has invited all manner of deadly creatures to feast on those unable to defend themselves. For one reason or another, you have found yourself following summons from Rurik Elderbranch of the Verdant Abyss, who seeks to form an elite group to fend off the monsters, and perhaps solve this crisis for good. But with rumours of the lost Heir having returned to take his revenge on the kingdom that failed him, will you be able to protect anyone from the dangers all around? By the time this is through, will you even want to...?"
