A Circle and Ritual to honour our sensitivity and softness, and transform it into strength.

Are you a woman finding herself through a transition phase in life? Are you moving through the in-between, sometimes standing still, sometimes moving without clear purpose or destiny? Are you fed up with being stuck in the same patterns and not-knowing?

And maybe you actually dó know your purpose, but your head, brain and emotions are making you doubt?

You might want to be more alus towards yourself.

Meaning of Alus
In Javanese spirituality or Kejawen, the word alus, or softness, has a slightly different meaning than we know it in the West.

Alus literally means ‘soft’. Daya is energy or inner force. In Kejawen, it says something about your ability to be connected to the subtle emotions. Someone alus is able to manage their emotions, desires and urges. This leads to an inner tranquility and gentleness, visible in the every day respect Javanese people show towards one another.

This sensitivity is important in experiencing the subtlety and refinement of the inner world. Alus is about sensitivity to or awareness of the subtle reality. Being aware of this, leads to harmony with life, which is the highest purpose of living, according to Javanes philosophy.

Daya Alus as subtle, feminine strength
In today’s circle, we become softer towards ourselves. And as women tending to be strict towards and criticising ourselves, we need this! We will focus on the subtle sensations that we sometimes ignore or push aside.

The beautiful part is that in this softness lies our strength or daya; we become one with ourselves, which gives way to our Rasa, sensations, to speak. Daya alus is the good-natured power or refined, inner force that takes leadership in life in a subtle way.

The softness towards ourselves will make way for what wants to be birthed through us. Sensing subtle emotions allows us to find out what type of courage we need to move through this crazy in-between phase to the frequency we want to make reality.

We may wonder about these questions during this life transition:
1. Which subtle sensations, feelings and emotions are flowing through me?
2. What do I need to transform softness into strength?
3. What wants to be birthed through me?
4. What courage do I need for this?

Together, let’s:
- Set a safe space through rituals to just be with ourselves, each other and everything we are experiencing.
- Allow the womb to lead us to alus and strength.
- Use rituals and practices to direct, strengthen and anchor our transformation.
- Be curious about the strength in our softness.
- Open our wombs up to what wants to be birthed and created.

Appreciation from others

“The first [of the Feminine Presence] Sister Circle was magical. Everything was flowing: listening, sharing, moving, and feeling. I felt heard by Nesya, whose gentle presence and probing questions helped me get to the core. I had never before reflected so deeply on the power and wisdom of my womb, and I didn't know how to truly listen to it. Through the exercises and meditations, I was able to experience that connection. A warm and unique experience. Highly recommended!”
