2009 Kickoff Meeting

Please come to our 2009 kickoff meeting! Several new members have joined since before the holidays so let's get together, discuss and plan our events!

Tentative Agenda for 1/31/09:

• Introduction of members
• Discussion of topic: Feminism and the new presidency. Also the economy and it's impact on women.
• Plan the next 2-3 events

We thought we'd follow the below schedule to mix-up what we do and allow members to do what they love if some prefer activism/charitable work over discussion and social activities.

January: Discussion event on Given Topic
February: Charitable or activism event (Ruth's House, etc.)
March: Social event geared toward feminism/women's issues

So let's meet at the Green Bean on Saturday the 31st and get the year started with some meaningful discussion:
*With the new presidency, how do you think it will impact women over the next 4 years? *What are your feelings about Hillary Rodham Clinton as Secretary of State?
*How do think the current economic climate will impact women?
*What can we do to help women adversely impacted?
