Co-hosted by Janine & Laura + rotating community co-hosts

Our April book club pick is In Defense of Witches by Mona Chollet, a sharp, playful, and deeply feminist essay that reclaims the figure of the “witch” to explore how independent, aging, angry, creative, and non-conforming women have long been feared, mocked, and pushed to the margins.
Part cultural history, part social critique, part rallying cry, this book asks what happens when women refuse to be nice, small, or invisible!

‍♀️ Didn’t finish the book? Haven’t started? Only here for feminist hot takes, collective brain expansion, and good vibes? Perfect. We’re a no-pressure, no-expectations book club. Come exactly as you are.

Where: Books Books Books, Lausanne

When: Thursday, April 30th at 18:30
(about 1.5 hours + optional post-book-club hangout!)

You can grab the book through our lovely host BooksBooksBooks, or listen to the audiobook if reading feels like too much right now.

Sign up for our newsletter to know which parts we’re focusing on, or simply show up and wing it. Bring your curiosity, your questions, your inner witch, your righteous feminist fury. We can’t wait to see you ✨
