Winter Waste Wonderland: Garbage Gatherers

[Location:] Garbutt Park in Ferndale, MI

Hi there! Apologies for the last minute event but I'm way too excited to get Garbage Gatherer events going and the weather as of late has been hard to plan around.

Our meeting point will be at Garbutt Park near Allen and 8 mile. There's street and bike parking available nearby and we will walk towards Livernois to pick up garbage. Please bring gloves and warm/bright colored clothes - please message Simrit if you need gloves or have any concerns.

Some time will be dedicated towards getting to know each other as well as building a map of spots we can visit next. Feel free to reach out about spots you're interested in and we can book future events.

The sad reality is most of what we pick up will end up in the landfill, so we'll be using cardboard boxes but if you have compostable bags, rice bags, etc. you are more than welcome to bring those. Upcycling is encouraged, too!
