What we’re about

  • What's the purpose of the group?
Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre e.V. (FEST) is the oldest and largest English speaking community theatre in the Frankfurt and Rhein Main region. It was founded by a group of British ex-pats in 1977 and has been putting on several productions each year ever since.
Our members come from all over the world, and are united in their passion for theatre. FEST welcomes everyone who enjoys going to the theatre as well as those who are interested in acting, directing or helping behind the scenes. There are many opportunities to get involved with productions, or to just socialize and enjoy watching the plays with other theatre-lovers.
We would be very happy to welcome you as part of our community and hope to see you soon at one of our socials or upcoming productions. If you have any questions, just get in touch with us here or visit us at FEST – Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre | Home - FEST - Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre (festfrankfurt.org)
  • Who should join?
Anyone who is willing to learn the basics of amateur theatre. We also have many opportunities to help backstage and behind the scenes. Or simply join our events if you want to build social network with English speaking community
  • What will you do at your events?
We are actively working on multiple productions in a year, creating many opportunities for aspiring actors, writers, directors or backstage crew. In 2023, we are also organizing FEATS in Frankfurt inviting many English-language theatre groups having 4 nights of 3 plays each and thus actively looking for volunteers to support us. Along with that we organize social events and play reading events once in a month.
