Working Stories: The Power of Story to Clarify, Connect, and Convince

Details
Tell me, do you remember the 12 point plan Martin Luther King Jr. had for peace? What about the one from Steve Jobs for the iPhone? Warren Buffet for investing? Of course you don't remember the plans. You remember the stories they used. That is what inspires people to carry out a plan. No matter the industry you are in, or your level in that industry. Leading people will mean inspiring people. One sure-fire way to do that is with a compelling story.
But how is that done? How did they develop that gift? Replace "Gift" with "Skill", and you will be able to understand how you can inspire people with a story. Skills are taught. Skills are developed. Skills are improved.
During this talk you will take part in an interactive experience to learn the skills for telling a compelling story. We will cover some basic concepts of telling effective stories. Attendees will be given a basic framework for delivering their own stories.
Learning Outcome
Attendees will gain an understanding of the potential of using stories at work, and the tools to story properly.
