Our Speculative Futures Stockholm team is very excited to welcome you to our next online meetup with Designer and Technologist Viraj Joshi. In this event, Viraj will screen his short film “The Doohickey” and present how he uses storytelling and design fiction to build future worlds.

About the Session
In his film, “The Doohickey”, produced with Fjord Stockholm, Viraj portrays the interference of big-tech companies in our daily lives and imagines a future world where Augmented Reality has become as commonplace as smartphones are today. Viraj will screen the 5-minute short film, and talk about intersections between his design process and storytelling. He will then introduce the ideation methods that he used to build the near-future world, that is grounded in today’s technology trends. This will be done through an interactive session where the audience is invited to participate and learn from Viraj's methods and build a sci-fi world together with him, so kindly keep pen and paper handy.

About Viraj Joshi
Viraj Joshi is a Designer and Technologist who works at Fjord Stockholm. His projects show great affinity and curiosity towards our technological futures. Viraj graduated from the esteemed Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, and his work has been exhibited at prestigious places such as London’s Science Museum and the London Design Festival.
