Day 1 of 3 Monthy free sailing seminar GROUND SCHOOL @ Tiffany’s boat house!!!!
Details
Update 21/6/26: We are scheduling these 3 day seminars on consecutive weekends now so that people from out of town can sail for 10 days straight for free. So you still get 6 days of unlimited instruction but now you can borrow a boat for the week in between to sail up to cape Canaveral and back if you want unsupervised. We would require a refundable deposit for this of some sort. Also if you want to see how far you can sail on four days we can pick u up with the trailer for a fee.
This is a monthly, totally free three day intensive sailing event usually starting the first Friday or the last Friday of the month from 6pm to 9pm then the the next two days. Saturday and Sunday 11-5pm but if you camp out w us you can sail all weekend! We meet at Tiffanies Boathoise in Micco florida.
Friday will be an introduction to our program followed by an hour of free sailing theory skillshare followed by 1 hour of reportbacks from previous Free Sailing Network activities like the infamous New York City Free Sailing School, and the fledgeling Florida Free Boat Library. The last hour will be a keynote lecture on adventure races including the Race To Alaska, the Everglades Challenge and creating your own challenges and world records!
At 9pm we will break for the evening. People can camp by the boats for a suggested 15$ donation to our landlord or go back to a secret free campsite or find their own accommodations. We can lend out camping equipment for a suggested 10$ donation.
The following 2 days will be both hands on sailing skillshares and boat maintenance and repair from 11am to 5pm at our secret beach. Those that camp out with us can sail after or before 11-5 on Saturday and Sunday once they demonstrate competencecy and are approved by Christian (TryBabyTri.)
