You’ll learn how to connect your FlutterFlow project to Firebase and use Firestore to store and retrieve real user data. Plus, we’ll explore how FlutterFlow’s built-in AI tools can help speed up your UI design process.
What you’ll learn:
- Setting up Firebase and integrating Firestore
- Writing mood data to Firestore and reading it into your UI
- Using FlutterFlow AI to generate page layouts and components — including freehand drawing support
- Implementing email/password authentication with Firebase
📱 App to Build (Part 1 of 2): “MoodLog” — a simple mood tracking app
🧩 Layout Breakdown:
- Auth Page: Sign-in/up using Firebase Authentication
- Home Page: Mood selector with Happy/Sad/Angry icons
- Log Page: ListView displaying past moods from Firestore
- Form Page (optional): Add a custom note along with each mood
By the end of this session, you'll have a smart and responsive app that interacts with a real database — and your first steps into building scalable features like logging, tracking, and AI-assisted UI creation.

Each session focuses on building real, usable apps with progressively advanced features, guiding you toward a polished, published product.🚀 Session 4: Custom Code, State Management & Play Store Deployment

💬 Join the community on DiscordIn our final session, it’s time to power up your app with real-world tools and ship it. You’ll learn how to extend FlutterFlow’s functionality using custom code, manage in-app state, polish your UI, and walk through the full process of Play Store deployment.
What you’ll learn:
- Adding custom functions (e.g., format timestamps into readable dates)
- Using custom actions (e.g., clear form fields after submission)
- Enhancing UX with snackbars, loading indicators & subtle animations
- Finalizing app settings: splash screen, app icon, theming
- Generating .AAB files for deployment
📱 App to Complete & Publish: “MoodLog” — Final Version

- Mood History Page: List of mood logs with dates formatted via custom code
- Final Polish: Themed styles, subtle animations on log entry, user feedback via snackbars
By the end of Session 4, you’ll walk away with a fully working, deployed app — your first published product, built entirely with FlutterFlow.
