1-Hour Walk/Hike in Rock Creek Park, then optional lunch!

Let's gear up for Thanksgiving week with a brisk walk in Rock Creek Park for about an hour and then (optional) go to Junction Bakery for a great-quality but inexpensive meal and/or coffee. Thanks so much to Dianne Fiumara for this suggested event!

Meet at 11 am at the entrance to Rock Creek Park where Northampton Ave NW meets Oregon Ave NW. Please include your cell number o be sure we're connected, and we'll also create a FFF > 50 sign for meeting purposes!

There is street parking nearby, or by the Community Gardens just inside that entrance. We'll gather inside the park entrance on the road next to the community gardens on the right as you go in. 38.96776239935139, -77.05407020978059


Afterwards, whoever is interested can drive about eight minutes to Junction Bakery in Friendship Heights. It's located inside the little shopping center, The Collection at Chevy Chase, which has a large pay parking lot. Junction validates parking there for a certain amount of time. Enter the shopping center from Western Ave or Wisconsin Avenue.
