Georgetown Café then Tudor Place!
Details
Tudor Place was the historic home of descendants of Martha Washington, and now it is a National Historic Landmark where "expansive landscapes, landmark architecture and thousands of historic objects tell stories of Georgetown, slavery and freedom in the District, the Civil War in Washington and many more."
If you're available on Wednesday morning the 15th, join me and others to explore the museum and gardens and enjoy time with great FFF>50 friends!
Plan:
10 am Boulangerie Christophe on Wisconsin Ave
then a 9-minute walk to Tudor Place
11 am timed entry tour of Tudor Place
Join for either or both!
Let's meet first if you're available at 10 am at the wonderful Boulangerie Christophe, 1422 Wisconsin Ave. NW. We can enjoy coffee, pastries and more (and hopefully celebrate our taxes being done), and then it's an easy walk (9 minutes) to Tudor Place.
Timed tickets for Tudor Place are $10 or $5 senior rate. Get your timed ticket for 11 am here (you have to select Other Dates, Other Times).
Tudor Place is located at 1644 31st Street in Georgetown. There is no parking lot (just street parking nearby), but you can walk from the Dupont Circle or Foggy Bottom metro stations (that's what I'll do).
Please include your cell number when prompted so we can be sure to meet up. Hope to see you!
