Picnic and "Pick and Paint" in Warrenton VA!

Let's get out into the Virginia countryside to enjoy a simple bring-your-own picnic together, pick a bouquet of lovely flowers to take home, and then paint a picture of our own arrangement or another still life of our choice!

It's a bit out of town (about 50 minutes), but the benefits include time in nature, picking our own flowers, engaging in the creative and meditative activity of painting (no matter how it turns out), and best of all, spending time with other great FFF>50 women!

Owner Florence Jones runs this flower farm as a haven for families with kids on the spectrum as well as anyone who loves nature and flowers. See more details here: https://www.flos-blossom-herbs.com/about.html

Planned schedule:
Carpools or individuals will leave the DC area about 11 am (I'll reach out to facilitate carpooling, including pickups at Metro).

Bring picnic food for yourself and/or to share (your choice). Wine is allowed :)

Florence will provide picnic tables shaded by tent roofs, with a painting easel for each person and painting materials.

We'll each pick a jar of our own flowers, leaves, herbs etc. from her lovely garden, and create our paintings at our own pace.

The cost for the painting including materials and the flowers to take home should be about $45 depending on our numbers; I'll update and reach out to those who RSVP with payment instructions.

Then we'll carpool or drive individually home with our lovely flowers and our new masterpiece :)

What to bring: Your own picnic and/or sharable items, sunscreen, your own cutting shears if desired, farm-friendly footwear (they have chickens and goats). Dogs are allowed if leashed at all times.

Please include your cell number so I can reach out about the payment, carpooling etc. Thank you and hope you can join!

Note: we also have women joining from Finding Female Friends>50 on Mighty Networks, a wonderful "walled garden" for our group, please join us over there too if you haven't already, here's the join link! https://community.fff50.org/share/dbWb9iJu5XwSN2TR
