Experimental and Sentimental: Sophie Seng is a saxophone player, singer, and award-winning songwriter based in Austin, Texas. Her eclectic style pushes the boundaries of genre while maintaining a common thread of honesty and vulnerability. Her music seamlessly flows between jazz, folk, rock, and classical; all in pursuit of creating that magical space where there is only us, the music, and our shared humanity. Sophie grew up in Davis, California, where she studied jazz saxophone, classical piano, and voice. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a jazz saxophone degree at CSU Northridge, she began songwriting and released her first album of original music in 2018.
Since then, Sophie has played hundreds of live shows and festivals, been on two (independently booked) US tours, released an album and three EP’s, and has relocated to Austin, Texas to further share her music. She is currently recording her next project, slated for release in the fall of 2025. We will have beverage options galore! And you KNOW the coffee will be fabulous!
