Sharing the night tonight are Jonni Maria Andersen and The Ginkgos! The Ginkgos are two former teammates from Oregon, Lilly and Lucy, who cound music together coming out of high school. They made nearly an album's worth of songs that saw the light of day, inspired by teenage angst and early heartbreak. After moving to different cities, Lucy began building a discography under the alias 'Lusha'. Years later, fate brought them together for the summer, and "we began making our younger selves proud with a new sound and a new name: The Ginkgos!" They will soon be parting ways again to return to schools and home base, so join them in this special debut performance! They will be sharing the stage and swapping songs with Jonni Maria Andersen, a powerful singer and songwriter, whose lyricism is perfectly complemented by her guitar stylings. Writing from lived experience, and sharing her interpretations of other classic songwriters, she will inspire you with her art.
Admission $10 at door, shared with the performers and the venue. Doors open at 7pm. KN95 masks are required and provided free at the venue. We will have seriously strong, hot brewed coffee and other beverages (sodas, Boxed Water, teas, and such) available at the show for $2. You can enjoy your drink while inside the room, the earloop masks make that easy; we ask that you ensure that your sips are short and delightfully sweet, to minimize aerosols in the room.
