Phoenix Folklore Friday - Peace Tales - Traditional Storytelling & Song & Art

Details
Friday, September 12, 7:30pm, at Fiddler's Dream Coffeehouse, 1702 East Glendale Avenue, Phoenix AZ 85020, doors at 7pm, $10 at door, KN95 masks required. Our local community of traditional storytellers continue their monthly series of Phoenix Folklore Friday! The evening is curated by Chrissy and Rachelle Dart, featuring traditional storytellers and tunesmiths from around the Valley and the South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute. Welcome Back! Phoenix Folklore Friday will be commemorating International Peace Day and the Autumnal Equinox with folktales, myths, legends and songs about Peace, Resolving Conflict, Forgiveness, Peacemaking and much more. We will also have an opportunity to contribute to a traveling collaborative art piece titled:
“What does Peace Look Like”
Visual artist Adrian Black will be telling us about his work.
Join us for an evening of traditional stories and songs that allow for a pause to reconnect with each other, to honor the past, and to reawaken our kinship with nature.
The evening commences at 7:30pm. There usually is a break between the two hours to grab a drink and a snack, unless we have some cancellations. Then we will run the session straight through.
As always, the skill of the oral storyteller will ensure that the stories are appropriate for the audience.
Wishing you all the best,
Chrissy and Rachelle Dart
