Jake Manzi is a singer and songwriter originally from Massachusetts and now based in Los Angeles, on tour to share his music and support the recording of his third album. From Jake: "For the past decade I've been steadily writing songs, making records, and cutting my teeth playing in bars and clubs. Playing music has led me to many places I wouldn't have gone otherwise. (His) new record will be recorded live to tape in a fantastic new studio in Los Angeles. While the studio is new, it is modeled after LA studios from the 70s, where so many great records were made. Working with my good friend and frequent collaborator, Gabriel Bernini, we'll be assembling a band of some of the finest musicians in LA. The band will be sitting in the same room, playing at the same time. No production tricks or high-tech gadgets. No widgets, even. And definitely no A.I. Just good old fashioned Americana magic... In March of 2024, I found myself performing at a club in Healdsburg, CA. After the show, I met a kind stranger who told me all about a residency for performing artists in France where he works. He explained that folks from all over the world come to work on their respective projects, sometimes staying for months. I filed this away in my mind and before I knew it, I had a plan to go for two months. During my time in France I met many wonderful people and wrote many a song. On the weekends I would take the bus into Paris and walk around aimlessly. Busking in the park, ducking into cafes, running into friends that I made at the residency. It was a joyous time....So, I returned from the trip with a new batch of songs and I drove out to Los Angeles. I'm very proud of the songs I've written and I can't wait for you to hear them. Lucky to be accompanied by my friend @guitarzanluxdeluxe on guitar on this tour." We are excited as well, Jake!
