Don Cook, Acoustic Traditional & Contemporary Folk, Irish and more
Details
Friday, March 6, 2026 at 7:30pm, doors open at 7pm, 1702 East Glendale Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85020 (on the grounds of the Phoenix Friends (Quaker) Meeting). Join us for an evening of traditional, Irish, and contemporary folk with Don Cook and perhaps some friends! Don has been a part of the Phoenix music scene since at least the early 60's. He's well known and respected as a musical librarian and historian, and he is also a marvelous player of a variety of instruments, focusing most recently on acoustic guitar and the Appalachian Dulcimer. Admission is $10 at the door, and directly supports the artist and Fiddler's Dream. Doors open at 7pm and the music starts at 7:30pm. KN95 masks are required to be worn properly while in the room, and masks are available at the door free of charge and in a lovely array of colors. We'll have beverages available - hot coffee, teas, cold water, and pop to enjoy - just take a sip, then put your mask back on and keep enjoying the music! Dress for the desert evening climate, as we have been leaving at least one of the south doors open to improve ventilation and fresh air flow! It's now our 39th year of showcasing musicians, poets, traditional storytelling, and more in an intimate, listening room setting that encourages connections with the artists and with the community. We couldn't do it without the support of our community, and are so grateful for your support.
