Friday evening showcases Steve Mason, who just happened to be visiting from Seattle and he walked into Open Stage Thursday and he is now helping us out on very short notice! Steve’s music is best described by Steve: “At a funky little coffee shop north of Seattle, I was meeting with friends — and digital marketing gurus — Holly and Creed. What started as a chat about how to use digital marketing to share my music and uplift people around the world turned into one of those deep, free-flowing conversations that could’ve gone on for hours. We jumped from one tangent to another, laughing, dreaming, and connecting.
As we wrapped up, Creed shared something that stuck with me. Having seen me perform, he said it was clear that I let love lead when I sing — and he encouraged me to keep doing exactly that. “Whatever you do musically,” he said, “just keep letting love lead.”
It was such a simple, beautiful reminder — a creed from my friend named Creed — to Let Love Lead. The rhyme, the alliteration, but mostly the heartfelt meaning inspired me deeply. And, as I tend to do when something moves me, I wrote a song about it — both to remind myself and to share this message with others.
