🌍This Earth Month discussion focuses on how land conservation works and how communities support permanent land protection.
The session connects to a collaborative Earth Month project between Terra On The Bench and the Western New York Land Conservancy. More Information can be found on the blog (PUBLISH on APRIL 1)

Before the meeting, participants are invited to read the Earth Month article explaining how land trusts protect forests, wetlands, and other landscapes across Western New York.
Participants are also encouraged to take part in a simple Earth Month observation activity.

🎬During April, visit a natural area or protected landscape and document what you see.

Examples include
• wildlife observations
• spring plant activity
• wetlands and forest habitat
• conservation work happening in the field

📸Photos and observations submitted through the Terra On The Bench portal may be featured on Terra On The Bench and used in future conservation storytelling projects.

The goal of this session is to create a space for environmental professionals, students, and community members to discuss land conservation and share what they are seeing in the field.
This event is part of the Terra On The Bench FIELD discussion series, which brings environmental professionals and community members together to discuss real issues happening in conservation, sustainability, and environmental science.
