This long-duration weighted hike focuses on composure, efficiency, and disciplined pacing under load. The goal is steady forward progress and finishing strong as a group.

  • Intermediate-level participants
  • Hikers preparing for longer endurance challenges
  • Individuals comfortable managing effort over several hours

### DISTANCE, PACE & TIME

  • 9–10 miles
  • Average pace: ~2.5–3.0 mph
  • Planned extended breaks as needed

### PACK WEIGHT GUIDANCE

  • Up to 20 lbs non-consumable weight (optional)
  • Load choice should allow upright posture and controlled movement

### GEAR & PREP

  • Secure backpack
  • 3 liters of water recommended
  • Sufficient calories and electrolytes
  • Full foot-care and first-aid kit
