## Weighted Hike in Knoxville — Build Strength, Stamina & Resilience (Week 8 – Capstone)

### ABOUT THIS EVENT

This is the capstone weighted hike of the progression. The goal is steady completion with composure, discipline, and mutual support.
Participants may reduce load or distance based on readiness. Completion—not speed—is the objective.

  • Those seeking a meaningful endurance challenge
  • Participants committed to safe, group-oriented completion

### DISTANCE, PACE & TIME

  • 10–12 miles
  • Average pace: ~2.5–3.0 mph
  • Multiple extended breaks planned

### PACK WEIGHT GUIDANCE

  • Up to 20 lbs non-consumable weight (optional)
  • Load selection is individual and self-regulated

### GEAR & PREP

  • Secure, well-tested pack setup
  • 3+ liters of water
  • Substantial calories for long duration
  • Full first-aid and foot-care kit

### EVENT SUPPORT
