What This Is

This is our Wednesday evening hike series — the on-ramp for getting to know Fierce Planet Adventures and the community around it. Whether you're new to hiking, new to our group, or just looking for a solid evening out after work, this is the place to start.

No pressure, no ego, just real people getting outside together.

The Route

Persevere Trail to Relentless Ridge to Vim and Vigor to Virtue Trail, then Clinch River Greenway and paved trail back to the parking lot.

Distance: ~4.2 miles
Elevation Gain: TBD (map in OnX)
Pace: Steady, conversational
Terrain: Mix of dirt and paved trail, elevation changes, uneven ground

What to Expect

A moderate evening hike at Aspire Park featuring a mix of trail types and progressive views. You'll experience both technical trail and easier paved sections. This is a good opportunity to explore a different area and test your hiking comfort level.

Parking & Logistics

Meet at the Welcome to Aspire rock on the parking lot side of the green footbridge. Parking is available on-site at Aspire Park.

Beginner to intermediate hikers looking for a solid evening out. If you're just starting your hiking journey or want to explore what we're building here, this is the event for you. No experience necessary — just be willing to move at a steady pace and navigate moderate terrain.

Optional Post-Hike Gathering

After the hike, we'll head over to the Pearl restaurant at Aspire for those who want to stick around. It's right there at the park — a great spot to grab a drink, some food, and keep the conversation going.

No pressure if you need to head out after the hike. Come for the trail, stay for the social if it works for you.

Cost / Donations

There is no required fee to attend. Optional donations help support Meetup platform costs and event logistics. Donations are not required and never expected.
