Let’s start simply and see how it feels.
We’ll meet at 9:00 AM at the Sprig Lake entrance of Mt. Madonna County Park and head out on a moderate, roughly 4-mile loop. There is a solid climb early on, but the trail itself is straightforward and well-traveled—no scrambling, no surprises.
This hike is meant to set the tone for the group:
steady pace, minimal stopping, good footing, and enough breath left to enjoy the redwoods and conversation.

### What to expect:

• Moderate elevation gain (you’ll feel it, you’ll survive it)
• Clear trails
• A comfortable but purposeful pace
• Fit women who actually like to hike

• Water
• Proper footwear
• Layers (morning shade, midday sun)
• A sense of humor about hills
