Let's go cycling!
Details
This is not an event for a ride but important imformation for your future rides!
We have had so many great rides with this group and our ride leaders are the best of the best, and our riders are professionals also! They try hard (and always succeed) to take such great care of everyone and ensure that you have a great time and are riding safely. Even our experienced riders are always watching out for our new riders and giving them tips for staying hydrated, fueled up and understanding how their bikes work and riding safely. Here are a few tips that professional cycling clubs believe in and practice with every ride:
Before we clip in and roll out, here’s your friendly nudge that keeps our rides smooth, safe, and drama‑free. Think of these as the golden rules of the group ride — the stuff that keeps us looking pro, riding smart, and avoiding those “well… that escalated quickly” moments.
* Call out hazards like you’re narrating an audiobook. Potholes, gravel, turtles — share the love.
* Hold your line so the rider behind you doesn’t suddenly discover interpretive dance.
* No aero bars in the paceline unless you’re auditioning for a solo act.
* Communicate — slowing, stopping, passing, or grabbing a snack mid‑ride*.***
* Be predictable, not surprising. Save surprises for birthdays.
* Ride two‑abreast when safe, single file when it’s not.
* Respect traffic laws *because cars are big, and we are… not.
* If you take care of your bike, it will take care of you! Tires need to be inflated or checked for every ride. Schedule a tuneup at least once per year with your favorite shop. Ask our riders for suggestions.
* And finally, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and fuel yourself with power bars, a banana or anything else, constantly. Even in cool weather and when you think you are not thirsty.
Let’s keep it smooth, safe, and full of good vibes. Now roll out and make those miles count.
