Just Simple Progress Collective

JUST Simple Progress is a collective of folks looking for community in moving their lives forward in meaningful, tangible ways aligned with nature and the Ubuntu concept of shared humanity.  The JUST Simple Progress Collective provides a supportively accountable community to keep ourselves on track and on purpose amidst all the distraction, isolation, and trauma of an unjust society.  We, JUSTers, can vary in our lifestyle goals, but hold shared values rooted in a collective humanity that is anti any “isms” which reinforce greed, hate, exclusion, and superiority.

Lifestyle goals can be anything that brings you joy, peace, and purpose that is also aligned with nature and ubuntu. Examples include, but are not limited to, homesteading, off-grid actions (rain and solar collection), minimalism, early retirement, whole food eating/cooking, gardening, artistry, camping, hiking, spiritual connection and enlightenment, activism, volunteerism, or developing a skillset or creative talent that’s been on your bucket list forever.

Become a better you while becoming a better us! Navigating a just simple life in an unjust complicated world is quite a challenge, but not impossible. Let’s share and tap into our collective wisdom while finding the support, love, and guidance that we need in one another.

We meet the first Sunday each month from 12pm -2pm. The first hour, CONNECT, we will check-in as a collective. The second hour, PROGRESS, is for working towards a lifestyle goal independently or working on a shared lifestyle goal, together.

Our space is: anti-elitist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, anti-patriarchy, anti-imperialist, anti-ageist, anti-ableist, anti-xenophobic, anti-islamaphobic, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-colorist, anti-anti-semitic, etc. We consistently seek to unlearn the ways we consciously and unconsciously reinforce stupid and immoral “isms” in our interactions with each other. While this is not the goal or focus of our meetup, it is a core value that underlies our work to be and do better, together. JUST Simple Progress is JUST first.
