Live, In-Person NYC Drawing the Dance Workshop, where artists draw/paint the dancer and the dance movements.

Theme: AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month!

Duration: Approx. 2hrs workshop with a 10 to 15 minutes break for costume change. Each half is around 30 to 40 min long.

What to expect: we start with dance movements and short poses of 30 sec & 1 min for warm up and then 3min, 5min, 8min poses while dancing slowly in between holding the poses. In the second half we have 5 min,10 min and 15 minutes poses adding dance segments in between poses. Dancer dances very slowly for the artists to try drawing the dance movements.

In-Person Tickets in advance: $20. At the door $25.
In-Person attendees please arrive at least 15 minutes before the workshop time.

BRING ALL YOUR OWN MATERIALS, drawing boards, portable easels, or draw on pads on your laps, etc. No glitters, please.The organizer or the venue are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Dancer/Model: Anna Tan @a_tan_dance/
Anna Tan (she/her) Bachelor of Arts in Dance & Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Tulane University, Received her Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University. Anna is the choreographer and artistic director for her NYC-based contemporary dance company, A. Tan Dance. Founded in 2017, the company’s mission is to inspire, enrich, and connect with audiences through dance. A. Tan Dance has presented work for both the stage and for film. Previous credits include 30-30-30 at Dixon Place, the Inwood Film Festival, KoDaFe in NYC, and more.
