Arnis, also known as Eskrima or Kali, is a traditional martial art from the Philippines, which emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives, bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons, as well as "open hand" techniques without weapons.

The Arnis Act (Republic Act No. 9850, 2009) designates Arnis as the National Martial Art and Sport of the Philippines. The act encourages schools to incorporate Arnis into their physical education programs, promoting discipline, respect, and self-defense skills among the youth. Additionally, it calls for government support through initiatives and events to enhance the appreciation of Arnis both locally and internationally, ensuring its continued significance in Filipino culture.
