Are you crazy about movies and the artistry of film? Do you have fun not only watching movies but also talking about the history of film and the craft of directing, writing, cinematography, acting, and other elements of film? Do you love names like Bergman, Hitchcock, Scorsese, Varda, Kubrick, Jarmusch, Lynch, Cronenberg, Truffaut, Kurosawa, Bertolucci or Fellini? Do you have a film critic inside of you that's just waiting to break out? Or just want to be swept off your feet by captivating performances?
Then come join us for lively discussion. Every genre. We will watch classics and cult films that inspire or maybe horrify (think John Waters). Nothing is quite off limits provided that it speaks to more than just mainstream entertainment.
We watch the films on our own separately and then we join to share our experience. We meet at local cafes or restaurants in Montpelier and Barre...or through Zoom online during the wintry months. Get ready to engage both your heart and your mind. Emotion and intellect are both welcome always!
