Creative sewalong- Design & make your own Kimono Tee Top or Dress

For those who would like to take part in a Sewalong but don't have the time, desire or courage to go for the "Couture Technique" one or would like a little light relief from it, have a go at this. I promise you that you can make it in a day- or you can spend hours on doing couture style embellishment to it - go to the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the Barbican for inspiration while it is still on. It's an ideal project for beginners and you make your own pattern to your own measurements. This is my effort below at emulating a 1940's tea dress using the pattern.

This will run until the first week in September but events can only be put on for 2 weeks at a time so I will post another one of these for the last two weeks to cover the time span.
