UFO "Sewalong" Part 2 - finish, chuck or alter?

Details

Part 2 of the January 'sewalong'. I am finding it incredibly useful to pull out a project and remind myself where I got stuck. Sometimes there is no reason why I stopped working on something (if you discount life intruding) but most of the time I wanted to think about a problem I ran into. I am also realising that occasionally I stopped because I thought there would be an issue. When I pick it back up it wasn't as bad as expected. Oh duh.

Anyway: let's again look into the unfinished projects that lurk in a dark corner or the back of the wardrobe. Barbara phrased it wonderfully well: "Perhaps we should have a UFO sewalong. I have a couple of unfinished projects and I should sit down and think about why they are unfinished- do I not really like the way they are coming out?, have I hit a difficulty I don't know how to resolve?, has the occasion for which I intended it passed? or whatever - and then decide whether to finish it, ditch it or alter it into something else."

Pull out any projects that could do with a proper look. It is quite amazing how often I forgot how far I got before I laid it aside.

Some of the time a project is no longer viable. When your weight or shape changed, when pieces got lost or even when the moths have had a meal... It can be very liberating to chuck things and get the space back!

Please post comments and photos: the more the merrier - this event posting is for us to share how things are going. What UFO would you like to look at during these two weeks?

We'll allow ourselves two weeks to decide what we want to do with each Work In Progress - update your comment at any time with your thought process or decision.

Even better: if you're stuck and need advice, ask away! Someone else might have a good idea or be able to point you in the right direction of a blog or tutorial they liked. YouTube is also a great resource for figuring out how to do something.

Let's put new life into those almost forgotten projects.

What have you got lying around? Please post photos in the 'UFOs and WIPs (https://www.meetup.com/dressmakers/photos/27488335/)' photo album, it'll be great to see others' projects.
