A talk about The Big Smog in 1952 and other events in the twentieth century. Dr Kathy Davies is the British Library's Postdoctoral Visiting Research Fellow on Environment and Sustainability.
"This lecture illustrates the impact of poor air quality on daily life in the 20th century. Drawing on the breadth of our collections including oral histories, newspaper collections and modern records."
