ATTENTION CREATORS & FILMMAKERS!!! As we start year two of our monthly networking events, the FilmNet Initiative is here to help you transform your dreams into reality.
The WELL/SCRIPT INCUBATOR: Have a killer script or cool story idea? Whether it’s a feature-length, a pilot episode or even a short, our new screenwriters’ workshop will get you the guidance and peer feedback you need to progress toward the goal of getting funded and entered into the FilmNet Screenplay Contest. Participants will sign an NDA to protect intellectual property.
PITCH PERFECT: When you’re ready, we’ll offer a tutorial/seminar to teach the step-by-step process of pitching to investors. This includes developing a budget and marketing plan that includes access to Spark Incubator, the crew internship program and expert guidance from the FilmNet team, writing and practicing pitch materials, and opportunities to pitch to investors.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION: When you get funded, you’ll meet with producers/directors to plan production in concert with Spark Incubator and the other local resources you’ve built into your budget. The team is dedicated to the universal principle of maximum production value at minimum cost.
LET’S GO VIRAL: With your movie or pilot in the can, time to execute your marketing campaign, from the FilmNet film festival to the San Diego Indie Film Network, from building a local following to carving a niche audience on social media and pay sites and even aiming for the big streamers.
