5 London Estates Analogue Photo Walk - 2 miles

Details
Introduction
Post 1945 the “Greater London Plan” was published and served as a blueprint for post-war reconstruction. Local Authorities were granted more planning powers and architects took advantage to build high-rise developments which achieved high-density living. During the 1970s this form of development started to fall out of favour. Many of these developments are still there and some have moved over to private ownership and even achieved Listed Building status.
The walk.
Our photo walk this time is to visit 5 of the London estates on a 2 mile walk starting outside Kings Cross station. We then walk along Pentonville Road to view our first point of interest, The Western Rise estate.
I’m not sure we can gain access to all areas of the estates but we’ll try our best.
The intention is to do some architectural photography and also some Street photography on the way. I will personally be taking my Olympus OM2n and my 35-105 and 200 lenses in case we can’t get in too close.
The estates we will be visiting are as follows. This may prove to be too much and in that case we can always go back to continue at a later date.
1. Weston Rise. Style: Brutalist
2. Bevin Court. Style: Modernist
3. Spa Green. Style: Modernist
4. Stafford Cripps. Style: Modernist
5. Golden Lane. Style: Modernist
If you would like to download a pdf of more information on the estates we will be visiting it can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1di039U01GNwSk-pKKu6IIOjBdsqJ9g2R/view?usp=sharing
