Join us to read through a play, script in hand. You don't need to memorise any lines, but you'll get the chance to read, and bring as much character and performance to your reading as you like. You don't have to read aloud if you don't want to, and there's no expectation of ability - we're an encouraging, good-natured group!
This week we're reading the Hangmen by Martin McDonagh. It's set in 1965, around the abolition of the death penalty, and follow the country's 2nd best hangman. It's naturalistic - it's funny, but not a comedy, and there are sad and dark moments. There are some violent moments, and allusions to violent crimes - so do have a scan through the script if you have concerns before Thursday.
