This meet-up is for companies and individuals to meet and discuss financing their businesses and opportunities across Africa. With 20 years of experience in Business Listings and Financing in Africa, we will discuss the framework and opportunities for raising capital, what is hot and on trend and allow for elevator pitches for those who sign up for the session. Included will be discussions and training on crowd funding, financing, sales, and how to go public and raise capital.

Ideas on Tap: Financing Business Social Meet-Up
La Salud, 165 ann crescent, sandton, johannesburg, ZADuring the past 30 years of coming to South Africa, much of the financing business has been meeting partners and like minded business people in a social setting, understanding what "value" I can give to them and vice versa and finding common economic interests to build a successful business. By pitching to venture capitalists and networking with investors and entrepeneurs, we have secured funding opportunities for over R500 million over the years. With over 10 years of running this successful event.
This meet up is for people who are interested in investing in new companies, institutions and bankers alike, as well as new investors simply wanting to hear about new ideas. In addition, new companies and entrepreneurs are welcome to come and discuss with the savvy financiers who have been invited their ideas. There will be at least 10 capital firms, a registered Venture Capital firm, and several independent investors and incubators in attendance socially within this event. The evening will start with an introduction to networking "as a business looking for venture capital" by Ryan Gibson based on his experience, with the potential of an additional speaker on "Financing without the Bank". This will be followed by 3-4 1 minute elevator pitches of companies who are members of this group or have been hand selected. After the brief speeches and elevator pitch, the group members will be encouraged to find their space in the room and network. The concept of this meet up is "ideas on tap" and therefore has been placed in a pub environment for casual, informal, but real communication. The event is at:
