Sunrise to Sunset Hikers

Mission Viejo, CA

Sunrise to Sunset Hikers

While this group is primarily focused on hiking, we also enjoy other forms of outdoor fun such as canoeing, biking, kayaking, camping and backpacking.... and a variety of special events including concerts, beach parties, museum, garden, art and holiday walks.

Our success is based in part on our ability to increase the fun factor of outdoor events,  often including a social activity such as picnics that include food and beverage. Our organizers also design conditioning hikes that are intended to enhance aerobic fitness and endurance. Our group has peaked virtually all the major mountains in Southern California, including Mt. Whitney. We strive to offer the most fun and scenic outdoor activities available to residents of Orange County.... events that are both in and out of area.

Our group is diverse, including young/middle/senior ages, singles and couples, and a mix of people with differing racial/ethnic/cultural/religious/political backgrounds. The unity of the Sunset Hikes Meetup centers on our shared love of fun, outdoor activities.

We do NOT ask for donations to support our administrative costs or charitable pursuits, however we do ask that you actively and enthusiastically participate in our events. So come on out! Make new friends, get some exercise, and enjoy the great outdoors. We are all about having fun!

Check out the "Our Calendar" tab for a schedule of upcoming activities. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon....

We welcome you to the Sunrise to Sunset Hiking family!

50 Girls Over 50 in So Orange County, CA-Membership Full

Lake Forest, CA

50 Girls Over 50 in So Orange County, CA-Membership Full

Looking to make some real friends, and not just acquaintances made thru existing large groups? Are you retired, an empty nester, newly divorced, new to this area, just transferred to CA, or someone just looking for new friends to do fun stuff with…….then this is your 50+ girls group to join. We’re looking for “no drama” girls that are interested in having lots of fun, while making new friends. So bring your happy attitude and respect for others. Our group will be limited to just 50 (Covid-19 vaccinated) girls, so we can really make connections with all the members. Events and gatherings will mostly be held in southern Orange County locations (Laguna Hills, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, Tustin, Laguna Niguel and Hills, etc.). Events will include brunches, lunches, dinners, happy hour deals, gift exchanges, holiday parties, coffee/discussions, and current Orange County cultural events unless we find a worthy “road trip” out of our area. Please note: Our beginning events will be limited to “safer” outdoor and restaurant patio scenarios so everyone will be more comfortable attending. Because of our limited number, members will be requested to attend at least two events per quarter to maintain membership, so we can maximize participation at planned events. There will always be exceptions, but please do not join if you do not plan on attending our functions. Event cancellations should be made a minimum of 72 hours in advance if possible. Event organizers put lots of effort into planning their gatherings, and they deserve enough time to adjust their final attendance numbers and arrangements. Two no-shows to events without notice will result in being deleted from the group. To cover our national Meetup group charges, our yearly dues to start will be $5.00 per year, per member, payable via PayPal. This charge will be due annually by March 1st. Can’t wait to meet our new “Girls” and get the fun started!

Getting Over a Painful Breakup or Divorce

Lake Forest, CA

Getting Over a Painful Breakup or Divorce

A bad breakup or divorce can be one of the most emotionally painful experiences. It can affect all parts of your life and make it difficult to form another relationship—or even think about forming one.

In this group we will be giving you support through this difficult time with free webinars on topics to help you put your old relationship into the past and successfully create a new one.

Some of the things you can learn include:

- How to speed your recovery after your breakup or divorce
- How to let go over the past and be able to start a new relationship
- What is a toxic relationship and how to avoid or get out of one
- Why relationships fail
- Why you can still feel the negative emotional effects of a breakup or divorce, even months or years after
- Why people can act irrationally in a relationship
- Who you should avoid at all costs in a relationship
- What’s at the bottom uncontrollable anger, resentment or jealousy

A nasty divorce, a painful breakup, a failed relationship, all these can embitter you and make you think it is better to be alone. That’s rarely the answer. People usually do better with a partner in life—as long as it’s the right person. We can show you how you can fully get over your breakup or divorce and what characteristics to look out for when choosing your next partner. Come join us!

The Murrieta Valley Super Fun Girl(friend)s

Murrieta, CA

The Murrieta Valley Super Fun Girl(friend)s

Hello ladies!

Please take a couple of minutes to read our full description, especially the paragraph below regarding financial support to maintain the group page.

1.  Please include in your profile picture of full up close view of your face with NO sunglasses on, preferably with no other people present in the photo that would make it hard to identify who you are. You will not be added to the group if your profile picture is not clear.

2. This meetup group is for WOMEN ONLY in Murrieta, Temecula, Wildomar, Menifee, Lake Elsinore and some closely surrounding areas of these cities. Most of our events will occur within a 15-20 mile radius of the Murrieta/Temecula area of the IE. For this reason we ask that if you are out of this 15-20 mile radius that you look for a similar group closer to the area you live in. We get together several times a month for: Movie nights, book clubs, happy hours, local events and festivals, live music venues, birthday and holiday parties, weekday morning coffee and walks/hikes. Just about anything that sounds FUN! Your suggestions are very much encouraged and welcomed. Women of all ages, single, married, kids or not are invited to join.

3.   We can all learn so much from each other based on where we've been or want to be, and that's why I hope we get a multi-age group of women with all different life experience. The goal of this group is to encourage friendships and keep them strong and one way of doing this is by regularly participating in the scheduled events. Please consider that when making your decision to join. As stated previously, this is a women only group. We will occasionally host an event with our significant others, however the main focus will be a place for ladies to relax and enjoy each other's company ~ distraction and drama free. I look forward to meeting you!

4.  At your first or second meet up we ask that you make a $5 donation to contribute towards biannual meet up dues charged by meet up to maintain our page. All proceeds go to pay dues that total $180 per year. If any funds remain after all dues have been paid, we will do a raffle of gift cards at one of our bigger gatherings.

5.  Lastly, we are an active group and look forward to meeting all of our new members. If after two months of being in the group and you haven't been to any of our gatherings or if it's been over two months at any given time that you haven't attended, you will be removed from the group. This is nothing personal; we aren't a big group and prefer it this way and for that reason don't keep hundreds of members, as many other meet ups do, on our group list just to make it look like we have a big group. If something is going on in your life that is preventing you for a certain time in not participating and you're comfortable sharing, please let me know.

Practical Spirituality

Laguna Hills, CA

Practical Spirituality

We are not human beings on a spiritual journey, but spiritual beings on a human journey. **Our highest tribute to this journey is to live a joyous, inspired, and fulfilled life.** Children of Infinity is a non-denominational nonprofit dedicated to raising human consciousness and aligning humanity with Purpose, Joy, Love, and Service. The attunement to higher consciousness begins with a better worldview. The core problems that afflict our planet – fear, disharmony, confusion, and greed – are manifestations of problematic worldviews. Current prevailing worldviews – Scientific Materialism and Religion – are both inadequate. Scientific Materialism sees human life as an accident, thus denying all spiritual phenomena. Religion requires faith in beliefs without offering any framework for validating and refining them, a core limitation that leads to dogma, disharmony, conflict, and violence. Our organization promotes the progressive worldview of Scientific Spirituality, a discipline that seeks to integrate Science and Spirituality in holistic yet rational ways. Scientific Spirituality leads to an evidence-based model of reality that is open to research and refinement. To learn more about this worldview, watch this video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI37-psjtE4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI37-psjtE4) **Community Resources** Our organization is dedicated to distilling the essence of spiritual wisdom and making it accessible to the community. The research includes philosophical works dating back thousands of years, from Vedantic times in ancient India to the latest advances in Quantum Mechanics. **The foundational material for our teachings is available here:** [https://childrenofinfinity.org/recommendations/](https://childrenofinfinity.org/recommendations/) **To make our teachings digestible, we have created free video courses available here:** [https://childrenofinfinity.org/courses-2/](https://childrenofinfinity.org/courses-2/) Join us in this global effort to transform fear into love, strife into harmony, and suffering into joy.

How to Heal from Narcissistic Abuse

Lake Forest, CA

How to Heal from Narcissistic Abuse

Have you been in a narcissistic relationship? Or think you might still be in one?

In this group we’ll be giving free webinars on healing from narcissistic abuse and creating a healthy, truly loving relationship.

In this group you can learn:

- How to fully heal from an abusive narcissistic relationship—and it doesn’t have to take long!
- Why it’s sometimes difficult to get out of a narcissistic, toxic relationship
- How to attract the right partner for a lasting, truly loving relationship
- Less commonly known traits of a toxic, narcissistic personality that you need to know!
- Why people sometimes seem to “inherit” a narcissistic personality
- Why some people are narcissistic personality magnets!

People around a toxic, narcissistic personality feel constantly anxious—like they’re treading on eggshells. Their self-esteem, confidence in themselves and certainty about things plummets. They can feel like they’re on a roller-coaster—feeling happy one moment, then depressed the next. An abusive narcissistic personality can suck a person down a spiral of self-negation that’s hard to break out of, even after the relationship is over.

In the webinars we’ll be giving, you’ll learn why you can become trapped into a narcissistic relationship, and how to fully recover from one. Best of all, using the techniques we’ll show you, your recovery can be quick!

This group is sponsored by South Coast Mission Dianetics & Scientology Self-Improvement Center.

ADVAITA

Temecula, CA

ADVAITA

Watch the webcasts of Francis Lucille, and ask live your questions on non-duality, happiness, meditation, etc...

Francis, a long time friend and student of Jean Klein, is a spiritual teacher of the Advaita Vedanta tradition. His teaching is not "Neo Advaita" but traditional Advaita, which means that the experience of our true nature has been transmitted from generation to generation by a lineage of sages.

Francis' master, Jean Klein, met his guru in India in the early Fifties and stayed and studied with him for several years. He later studied the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism with Dibianandapuri and of Hatha Yoga with the famous teacher Krishnamacharya. Jean Klein was an Acharya, meaning a guru who, having realized the common ground of all spiritual teachings, can teach according to many traditions with equal ease. He loved the humor of the Zen patriarchs, the poetry of Rumi and of the Sufi tradition, and the sweetness of Meister Eckhart's Christian expression of the Absolute. His teachings reflected his love for art and music, addressing the needs of a demanding intellect while focusing to a large extent on the perceptual and sensorial aspect of our experience.

Francis' teachings reflect those of his guru: appreciation for humor, art, music, and poetry, intellectual rigor with a "personal" twist due to his training in Mathematics and Physics, emphasis on the body and its feelings. There are meditation and yoga sessions inspired by the Tantric and Hatha Yoga traditions in addition to the traditional Advaitic dialogues. Music concerts, often featuring Francis as a performer, are also included in the program of the retreats.

Click on the link "Pages" above for more infos on Francis Lucille and videos.

You may register here for the webinars and webcasts and for the retreats with Francis. We are making sure Truth lovers with financial hardship can have access to the teachings by offering them scholarships (free spots). Donations are of course welcome and necessary to cover the expenses.

There are also 8 week long retreats every year at Laura and Francis' home in Temecula, California, and retreats in Tampa (Florida), Orlando (Florida), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Munich (Germany) and at the Omega Center (upstate New-York).

ADVAITA is an eclectic group of friends interested in meditation, yoga, enlightenment, self realization, non duality teachings (Advaita Vedanta, Zen Buddhism, Sufism, Taoism).

Diverse age groups and professions are represented: artists, musicians, mathematicians, physicists, engineers, physicians, dentists, yoga teachers, therapists, business owners, home makers, retirees, students etc.

Week-end Meetings: This is not the Meetup group for the Temecula week-end meetings, only for the online webcasts and for the retreats. For a schedule of week-end meetings you would like to attend in person instead of online, become a member of the ADVAITA Temecula local Meetup group:
