OC Singles who Mingle 45+

Hey Hey!! Welcome to OC Singles who Mingle 45+!! Thank you for checking us out! Please note that this is a private and exclusive social group for meeting people and new friends in-person and face to face and NOT a Dating Site. Being single doesn't mean you have to be alone, nor looking for a romantic partner.

We are a group of like-minded individuals who want to get out and do stuff with others who may have the same interests or learn new ones. Let's meet and hang out with other fun peeps.

But please, NO CREEPY vibes, Stalking or hook-ups. Also, please keep any drama and gossip OUTSIDE of this group.

Because we are a private and exclusive group, we are selective with which "Requests to Join" are accepted and will remove those members who we later decide are not a good fit for various reasons and also those who are not actively attending events. Unlike some groups who only care about the size of the group, we care about quality over quantity.

We are a Brand New Group of fun adults, on average in their mid 40s thru 60s, who enjoy mingling together while making new quality friendships and enjoying social activities and events like:

Bike Riding, Tactical Training, Hiking, Walking, Axe Throwing, Karaoke, Dining Out, Happy Hour, Comedy Clubs, Road Trips, Int'l & Domestic Travel, Potlucks, House Parties, Get Togethers and anything else that looks like fun. It’s limitless. We don't just "say"... we "do". If you’re interested in hosting an event, let me know! Yay!!

Our goal is to create and build a solid group of hopefully close friends, like a second family maybe, that you look forward to seeing again and again at the next event. We want you to feel like this group is your home and that you are welcomed and fit right in.

We want you smiling, laughing and having a great time and a great experience at whatever event of ours that you choose to attend! You'll notice that we not only have a LOT of events per week, but various kinds because we happen to LOVE variety! Please feel free to give me suggestions and let's see what we can come up with. Hey, this is the second half of our lives - let's enjoy it, together! Life is short!

We care about honest, respectful, loyal, trustworthy quality people. We want to create a safe space for everyone, especially for those who desire it. If there is ever an issue, please private message me.

Those who have 3+ "no show" or frequently RSVP and then cancel will be subject to removal.

50 Girls Over 50 in So Orange County, CA-Membership Full

Lake Forest, CA

50 Girls Over 50 in So Orange County, CA-Membership Full

Looking to make some real friends, and not just acquaintances made thru existing large groups? Are you retired, an empty nester, newly divorced, new to this area, just transferred to CA, or someone just looking for new friends to do fun stuff with…….then this is your 50+ girls group to join. We’re looking for “no drama” girls that are interested in having lots of fun, while making new friends. So bring your happy attitude and respect for others. Our group will be limited to just 50 (Covid-19 vaccinated) girls, so we can really make connections with all the members. Events and gatherings will mostly be held in southern Orange County locations (Laguna Hills, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, Tustin, Laguna Niguel and Hills, etc.). Events will include brunches, lunches, dinners, happy hour deals, gift exchanges, holiday parties, coffee/discussions, and current Orange County cultural events unless we find a worthy “road trip” out of our area. Please note: Our beginning events will be limited to “safer” outdoor and restaurant patio scenarios so everyone will be more comfortable attending. Because of our limited number, members will be requested to attend at least two events per quarter to maintain membership, so we can maximize participation at planned events. There will always be exceptions, but please do not join if you do not plan on attending our functions. Event cancellations should be made a minimum of 72 hours in advance if possible. Event organizers put lots of effort into planning their gatherings, and they deserve enough time to adjust their final attendance numbers and arrangements. Two no-shows to events without notice will result in being deleted from the group. To cover our national Meetup group charges, our yearly dues to start will be $5.00 per year, per member, payable via PayPal. This charge will be due annually by March 1st. Can’t wait to meet our new “Girls” and get the fun started!

Viet Food Bunch & Beyond

Westminster, CA

Viet Food Bunch & Beyond

Are you tired of making meaningless connections? Losing touch with old friends? Haven’t found a good way to make new ones? Who says adulting can’t be fun?

Come eat.drink.play with us!

Rinse and repeat.

Welcome!

Don’t let the group name fool you. We welcome all types of people, except the ones who are creepy, disrespectful…you get the drift.

When was the last time you connected with someone? And no, your last Facebook friend request doesn’t count. Like REALLY connected with someone.

Whether you’re new to the area or a lifelong local, new to MeetUp or not, we want to bring together an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life in a social atmosphere that's friendly, relaxing, and safe.

EAT. Here’s some food for thought. How do you make your food taste better without adding any ingredients? Eat in the company of others.

DRINK. Let's toast to food, fun, and friendships!

PLAY. We live in one of the most desirable destinations in the world. Let’s explore this urban playground we call home and perhaps even venture off the beaten path.

Life is meant to be lived, so what better way to do it than amongst good company as we share cultural and culinary tastes together by land, sea, car, camper, bike, and plane! Did we miss anything? Maybe segway or electric scooter?

Transparency is important to us, so let’s be frank for a minute. We are not interested in collecting membership dues or hitting membership quotas. Save that for your day job.

Instead, let’s take a break from corporate America or wherever you hail from when you come out to meet us. Let’s collect memories and hit the trails, instead.

If and when you are ready to host an event, please feel free to reach out to any of our organizers.

A few housekeeping items:

*All members must have a clear and recognizable picture (i.e. no cartoons, flowers, landscapes, masks, etc. You know who you are) so that we can identify you at events. Those without one are subject to removal from the group.

*We ask that you respect all organizers, hosts, and attendees. This includes honoring your RSVPs and letting us know if you can’t make it. Those who "no show" will be subject to removal.

*We ask that you do not contact (message) members you haven’t met in real life. Safety first, right? Exceptions include inquiring about group events with prospective hosts and organizers.

*VFBB strives to foster a safe and comfortable space and community for all members. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated and is ground for removal from VFBB. This includes hostile, intimidating, and/or unwelcoming behavior.

**By joining our MeetUp group, you agree to the MeetUp terms of service releasing the organizers, assistant organizers, hosts, and members from any liability related to any incidents, injuries, or accidents that may occur at MeetUp events**

So Many Women...So Little Time

Please click here for our mailing list!  Glad you found us... Welcome to the So Many Women…So Little Time meetup group. Our group is alive and well and growing by leaps and bounds. We host online zoom events with members from all across the country and are now starting to host some live outdoor events as well, as long as they are safe. Time and space have taken on a whole new meaning. For all of you out of towners, don't worry. I never plan to leave zoom!

I have been so touched by the intimacy and connections that are being created day by through our group interactions. Lots of friendships have been made and yes, even some romance! I try to mix it up and keep it interesting for you all and I’m always open to new ideas and feedback. My commitment to every member is that there are no "outsiders" and all folks that identify as a woman loving women are welcome. I believe that the experience of inclusiveness is palpable in our group events whether live or on Zoom.

For FB users, please follow us (facebook.com/somanywomensolittletime/). If you would like to be part of our secret FB group, please friend request me at Jody Potiker and I will invite you. Once in, you can invite your friends directly from there too.

I would love it if you joined the smwslt mailing list. This separates out our special announcements from all the other meetup emails which can be overwhelming at times. I ask that you please set your notifications at minimum to receive organizer messages and new event announcements. This has to be done while actually on our group site. You can find the settings by clicking on your round profile photo on the top right corner and select email and notifications.

I am so looking forward to meeting you whether it be online or in person when that time comes.

Until then, Your organizer, Jody

Sunrise to Sunset Hikers

Mission Viejo, CA

Sunrise to Sunset Hikers

While this group is primarily focused on hiking, we also enjoy other forms of outdoor fun such as canoeing, biking, kayaking, camping and backpacking.... and a variety of special events including concerts, beach parties, museum, garden, art and holiday walks.

Our success is based in part on our ability to increase the fun factor of outdoor events,  often including a social activity such as picnics that include food and beverage. Our organizers also design conditioning hikes that are intended to enhance aerobic fitness and endurance. Our group has peaked virtually all the major mountains in Southern California, including Mt. Whitney. We strive to offer the most fun and scenic outdoor activities available to residents of Orange County.... events that are both in and out of area.

Our group is diverse, including young/middle/senior ages, singles and couples, and a mix of people with differing racial/ethnic/cultural/religious/political backgrounds. The unity of the Sunset Hikes Meetup centers on our shared love of fun, outdoor activities.

We do NOT ask for donations to support our administrative costs or charitable pursuits, however we do ask that you actively and enthusiastically participate in our events. So come on out! Make new friends, get some exercise, and enjoy the great outdoors. We are all about having fun!

Check out the "Our Calendar" tab for a schedule of upcoming activities. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon....

We welcome you to the Sunrise to Sunset Hiking family!

The Sunshine Gals

Orange, CA

The Sunshine Gals

The Sunshine Gals is a social group of fun-loving and whimsical Gals who celebrate life with a positive outlook and sunny disposition...and lots of love and laughter.  We enjoy dining out, movies, the arts, home & garden tours, tea parties, potlucks, plays & performances, day trips, and much more. We're always open to new experiences and adventures.

Since our beginning in 2009, The Sunshine Gals have attracted some of the kindest & most compassionate ladies around. Many who have made lifelong friends! Each of our Sunshine Gals brings something special to our group. We are proud to be a society of unique women from all walks of life. The common bond that Sunshine Gals have is the desire to surround ourselves with joyful, authentic people who have a zest for life and a great sense of humor. Our group spreads sunshine wherever we go!

The Sunshine Gals is my gift to you.  Since moving out of Orange County to Palm Springs, I, Candy, have stepped down as the sole organizer and the group is now run by Doris Stephens who has volunteered to be Co Organizer and Event Organizer.  Contact her if you would like to be one of our Event Hosts and to host an event. This is a great way to plan something that YOU would like to do.  You will have access to our calendar and can host events any time you wish. I will always be a part of our group as founder.  Kimberly is co-organizer in name only. She is kind enough to sponsor our group onto her account in order for us to remain free of paying any dues. THANK YOU KIMBERLY!

I would like to send a special thank you to Doris for continuing to keep our group active by being our loyal event and co organizer. We all thank you for your commitment and love for our group.  The success of this group is because of her dedication and involvement.  We all thank you!

All of our events are completely voluntary. Only YES RSVP's are ever needed, but PLEASE UPDATE your RSVP if your plans change, and cannot attend after all.

NO SHOW POLICY: Members who RSVP "Yes" for an event need to change their RSVP to "No" if their plans change and they cannot attend the event. Upon the 4th no show, a member will be removed from the group. This is just one example of why RSVPs should be tendered with positive intentions on attending and cancelled if plans have changed.  Some upcoming events require exact counts at least 24 hours prior to the event and the penalty for falling short of this will cost the Organizer an out of pocket expense for no shows from the venue we have reserved space for. Thank you for understanding.

Our group colors are yellow and pink. You will find many of the Gals wearing our colors to make us easier to spot at our events and to show our Sunshine Gals spirit. We welcome you to show your spirit too... it adds to the fun and whimsy of our group. Wearing just one yellow/pink accessory counts! It's completely optional!

I am very proud of the enthusiasm of our group and with its growth and progress. I am grateful for the positive and genuine women who continue to make The Sunshine Gals what it is today... BEAUTIFUL.

Hugs,
Candy G.

Life After Divorce or Breakup

Anaheim, CA

Life After Divorce or Breakup

Has a divorce, breakup or heartbreak put your life on an emotional tailspin? This group is about how to unburden that emotional pain and convert it to positive energy and happiness.

Painful emotion, as can occur from a divorce, breakup or rocky relationship, approximates the nature of physical pain. If you don't mend it, and just let it fester, the wound can infect various aspects of your life and future relationships. That lingering loss, grief, resentment, blame, guilt, anger or disappointment can smolder. It can reduce your trust, hope, confidence and drive. And if you've been through this more than once, the effects compound and can really drain your energy.

Yet there is important insight and workable techniques that you can apply to reverse that trauma and put you on the road to a bright future.

Take the example of someone we'll call "M". M had fallen into persistent sadness after a divorce and then another failed relationship. With this knowledge and these techniques (as we will discuss in our meetups), she said "I was able to transition out of that grief" and "I now feel freer to live the life that is awaiting me."

This group isn't just for people who have been divorced or separated. This is even for those who are trying to repair their marriage or relationship or keep it from going on the rocks. We will cover vital know-how and signposts to give you the roadmap.

You can mend your heart. You can break a pattern of failed relationships. You can transform your life for the better. And yes there is such a thing as true love - and you can achieve it.

We welcome you to this group!

This group is created by the Dianetics & Scientology life improvement center.

Huntington Beach, CA

Walking Women

Hi :)! If you’re a woman and you like to walk, you’re a great candidate for this fabulous group. We walk at different paces and places. We want to make walking easy, accessible, comfortable, and fun. You don’t have to be skinny, perfect, a fitness guru, or on the other side of the coin, overweight and/or health challenged to join our group. It's no problem... ALL WOMEN ARE WELCOME!!! Just be kind and respectful to others. We can literally walk everyday in our area, with only a few rainy days a year. So join me, and enjoy a walk for no longer than 2 hours and then take on the rest of the day with more vigor and energy!!! Walking has many health benefits; it helps with depression and anxiety (releases endorphins from the brain), staves off dementia up to 30%, gets you out in nature, gives you vitamin D (from sunshine), tones the body, builds and strengthens bones, helps with circulation, strengthens your core muscles and helps with balance, reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke, improves high cholesterol, reduces or eliminates joint and muscular pain or stiffness, assists with diabetes. Not to mention, it aids in bowel regularity (poop, ok I said it, lol). Plus you already have the necessary equipment, your legs! No need to spend any money. You've got this! So come on down!!! We would love to meet and walk with you!!! \*\*\*\*There are 2 Walking Women groups; Walking Women and Walking Women 50+. Join both because they walk on different days; Walking Women usually walks on Mondays and occasionally Wednesdays and Sundays. Walking women 50+ usually walks on Fridays exclusively. You don’t have to be over 50 to join the Friday groups, any age, any day, doesn’t matter, it’s all good! P.S. If you sign up and don’t get a response for a few days, it’s because this app does not show pending members, it has a few bugs. I try to always go on the actual website once a week, so please don’t feel bad if I don’t get right back to you. It’s not you it’s the side, lol. \*\*\* Please do not post events or information that are not pertaining to Walking Women or Walking women 50+ specifically, if you do, you will be subject to losing your membership and being kicked out of the group. DISCLAIMER: Group organizer and/or assistant organizers assume no liability; walk at your own risk. By being a member of this group, you hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any group functions. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold any of the group's leaders or representatives liable for any injury, loss, or damage to your own person or any members of your family, friends, acquaintances, or property, arising directly or as a consequence from a group activity. Finding Female Friends Past Fifty - Orange County (FFF>F OC)

**Finding Female Friends Past Fifty Orange County (FFF>F OC) is the Orange County** chapter of seasoned, interesting, and supportive 50-ish women (most between 40 & 65). If you're looking to develop friendships, you're in the right place! This New York Times article highlights the founding of the Los Angeles chapter of FFF>F:  [https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/31/style/self-care/finding-female-friends-over-50-meetup.html](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/31/style/self-care/finding-female-friends-over-50-meetup.html) If you join our group with an open heart, sense of adventure, and fun spirit, you may find connections and friendships emerge. We are a group of women who enjoy fine dining, casual dining, summer bike rides, beach walks, casual hikes, paddle boarding, kayaking, live music, happy hour, athletic activities, comedy shows, live theatre, seasonal events and anything else that interests our membership. One thing that separates us from other Meetup groups are our high attendance rates.  Our attendance results from our “zero tolerance for no shows” policy.   “No shows” are almost non-existent at our events because a single “no show” without 24 hour prior notice or an unexplained emergency results in removal from the group as does a repeated lack of punctuality.  See also the General Requirements section below requiring 48 hour notice on RSVP changes.  These policies respect other group members’ and organizers’ time and have resulted in a predictable and reliable Meetup experience. As you engage to find Female Friends past Fifty, the following requirements and guidelines are here to help you get the most from our group.  To the extent the guidelines align with your personal values, please join us! We are looking forward to meeting you! **General Requirements:** You live in Orange County You use your actual first name in your Meetup Profile You have an active Meetup Profile with a close-up face photo (not full body), without sunglasses, hat or mask obscuring your features.  If you require help updating your picture, try this link: : [https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-How-do-I-change-my-profile-photo](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-How-do-I-change-my-profile-photo) Notifications: please set Email Updates and Push Notifications to on in Settings.  Waitlists change quickly and at times confirmations are required; it is critical to maintain the high rate of attendance we enjoy; that means we may need to be able to communicate with you on short notice.  To set Notifications:  [https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002879591-Editing-my-email-settings](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002879591-Editing-my-email-settings)  To Turn on Push Notifications: [https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002862972-Editing-my-push-notification-settings](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002862972-Editing-my-push-notification-settings). **PLEASE NOTE:** If needed and we are not able to reach you via email, Meetup messaging or comments posted on the event page, you may be moved to “not going” for that event. We reserve the right to not approve, and remove members, and potential members for any undisclosed reason, including the guidelines below. **RSVPs and CANCELLATION**: As a courtesy to others, if you need to change your RSVP, please do so no later than 48 hours prior to the event. This provides waitlisted members a chance to attend in your place.  If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours, ***please contact the host with an explanation***. **Event Fee Requirements**: For events that require an event fee; you will be moved to “Not Going” if you miss the “pay by” date. **ATTITUDE**: We pride ourselves in creating a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment for our members. We are here to have fun and enjoy our time together.
