Walk Des Moines Creek Trail

From the south end: If you prefer, to hike the Des Moines Creek Trail from the southern end, your hike will begin in Des Moines Beach Park. The park entrance is at 22030 Cliff Ave S. To reach the park, take Exit 149 from I-5, head west, and continue on for about two miles. The street bends right and becomes Marine View Drive S. In three blocks, turn left onto S 223rd St which becomes Cliff Ave S and leads to the park. A few parking spots are available in the park, and many more can be found just outside the park near the Des Moines Fishing Pier. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk. Portable privies are available near the beach end of the park, and a more permanent privy is available outside the park near the pier.
